Donald Brandenburg

Donald Gene Brandenburg, 61, of Lees Summit, Mo., passed away February 12, 2012 while working in Indonesia. Donald was born in Kansas City, Kan., on October 10, 1950 to Donald D. and Christine Henrich Brandenburg. Donald was a University of Missouri Rolla graduate with a degree in engineering. In 1973, after graduating, he started his life long career with Black and Veatch. Donald enjoyed golf and rhythm and blues music.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Christine; sister, Christine “Ann” Brandenburg; nephew, Donald J. Heavener; niece, Andrea and husband, Kyle Graves, along with their five children, Ally, Kelsey, Tyler, Lily and Nick; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Old New Garden South Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
