Donald W. Dray
Donald W. Dray, 59, of Holt, Mo., passed away February 18, 2016. Donald was born August 2, 1956 in Yankton, S. Dak., to Lawrence “Hoots” and Claudine Coble Dray.
Donald worked for many years at Goldblatt/Stanley and later as a Sears heating and cooling repairman. He also loved boating, fishing, hunting mushrooms, gardening, and eating tomatoes. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran, a member of the Kearney/Holt Saddle Club, and was an avid outdoorsman.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and step-mom, Maryln Dray.
Survivors include his daughter, Heather Dray; son, Lucas Dray; grandson, Malachi Dray; sisters, Rebeccah Lamley, and Tanya and John Huxtable; nieces, Katie and Samantha; and as Donald always said, “the best ex-wife”, Cathy Dray.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo., with visitation from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. The family suggests donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
