Delores Hankins
Delores Jane Hankins, born on June 29, 1932 to parents, Paul G. Williams and Dorothy (Johnson) Williams, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:35 a.m. in her home at Golden Living Center in Independence, Mo.
Delores graduated from Kearney High School in 1950 and Chillicothe Businesss College two years later. In 1954 she married Howard L. Hankins in Rayville, Mo., on October 16th. They had two children, Rene’ L (Hankins) Ferguson and Darren B. Hankins.
She is loved and missed by five grandchildren, Steve Popplewell of Seattle, Wash., Melanie Barber of Kearney, Mo., Aaron Baker of Parker, Ariz., and Kailey and Jessica Ferguson of Independence, Mo. She also is survived by six great grandchildren, Florence, Emma, Grace, Sarah, Charlie and Olivia.
Visitation services will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at Fry-Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at First United Methodist Church of Kearney. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Crowley Cemetary in Rayville, Mo.
