Deborah Hoffman
The Lord called home another beautiful soul, Deborah Hoffman, Riverside, Mo., on December 30, 2015.
Deborah Lynn Hoffman was born in Fargo, N. Dak., on February 17, 1958, but grew up in Port Huron, Mich., where she was a devout member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was the eldest daughter of her beloved parents, Allen and Sharon Hudson.
Deborah was a strong-willed, courageous, hardworking, and self-sacrificial woman to all lives she touched. Her beauty and poise were reflected in her talents of figure skating and baton twirling; and her life was filled with laughter, travels, hardships, and victories.
Deborah fulfilled the role of mother and homemaker until she recently enrolled in college to pursue her dream of working in the criminal justice field. She graduated from St. Clair Community College with high honors of Phi Theta Kappa and Cum Laude. After returning back to Missouri, Deborah took on the remarkable tasks of holding two jobs while continuing her education at UMKC. We will forever remember her love for her family and friends, as well as her undying support for those around her.
She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren and her spouse of 30 years.
Memorial visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, with service immediately following.
