Doris Howard
Doris Howard, 81, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Doris was born May 21, 1930, in Holt, Mo., to Richard and Clara True. Doris married Eldon Howard on June 12, 1948. She was a homemaker for many years, then worked several years at AVSCO/Gates before retiring.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Juanita O'Dell; and brother, Donald True. Survivors include her husband, Eldon Howard, of the home; son, Michael and Patti Howard, Springfield, Mo.; daughter, Due Parman, Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Donna and Alan Gallas, Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Rhonda and Craig Smith, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 23, at Bross & Spidle Chapel in Excelsior Springs. Doris will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, July 22, at the chapel.
