Donna Annette Myers (Wilson)

Donna Annette Myers (Wilson), loving wife, mother, and grandmother died peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Cameron, Mo., at the age of 77.

Annette was born on March 25, 1938 in Trenton, Mo., to Bob and Lorraine Wilson. She graduated from Allerton High School in 1956. She and H.K. were married on June 2, 1956 in Spickard, Mo. She graduated from Missouri Western State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education Business Education and a minor in Home Economics. She taught at Polo High School and New Town/Harris High School. She moved on to teach for Missouri Western State University and retired in 2004.

Annette was an excellent teacher who truly cared about her students. She never had a negative word to say about anyone. Her love for her family was expressed in the wonderful, loving home she created. She had many friends and was involved in many organizations during her life. She had a green thumb and her house and yard were always full of beautiful flowers and plants.

Annette is survived by her husband, H.K. Myers of Lathrop, Mo.; son, Stanley Myers and wife, Linda of Union Star, Mo.; daughter, Lisa Bozarth and husband, Mark of Polo, Mo.; son, David Myers and wife, Theresa of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; daughter, Diana Bromley and husband, Ray of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; brothers, Robert Wilson of Spickard, Mo., and Larry Wilson of St. Charles, Mo.; two granddaughters, January Ray and husband, Chris of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Heather Alexander and husband, Tony of Odessa, Mo.; 10 grandsons, Bret Bell and wife, Beth of St. Joseph, Mo., Jason Bozarth and wife, Jessica of Kansas City, Mo., Brian Bozarth and wife, Lacie of Richmond, Mo., Danny Parker of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Keith Myers of Virginia Beach, Va., David Parker of Kansas City, Mo., David Myers of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Dylan Parker and wife, Kaitlin of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Duncan Parker of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Cody Myers of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service/celebration of Annette’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the morning at the First Baptist Church in Polo, Mo. A time of fellowship will follow. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Annette’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association. You may do so online at alz.org.
