Dolores N. Woods Robertson
Dolores N. Woods Robertson, 81, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away November 3, 2013 at Excelsior Springs Hospital. Dolores was born August 8, 1932 in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to Homer McDaniel and Pearl Ester Huston.
Dolores lived in Excelsior Springs for the first 40 years of her life. During that time she was active in raising her three children, Kirk, Kent, and Kyla. She also worked for many years in the sales field, as well as at Don’s Pharmacy. Dolores was very active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and formed lasting bonds with her sorority sisters. Dolores spent the next 40 years in Fullerton, Calif., where she worked as a property manager for Arnel Property Management. She served this company for 29 years, working there until September of 2012 when she came home to Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Dolores was a member of the Baptist faith.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
Survivors include son, Kirk (Tamy) Woods; son, Kent (Debbi) Woods; daughter, Kyla Woods; brother, Duncan McDaniel; and sister, Betty Napier; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Dolores was known as a very hard worker, but nothing was more important to her than her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery also in Excelsior Springs. Contributions may be made Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center.
