David Wayne King
David Wayne King 61, of Liberty, Mo., passed away on July 4, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on January 18, 1955 in Hermitage, Mo., to Charles and Shirley King.
David was a 1973 graduate of Hermitage High School. He moved to Kansas City, Mo., in 1982, working as a bridge carpenter. Later, he became a master concrete finisher and farrier. He spent much of his spare time working with horses and was an avid team roper. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley King; brothers, Mike, Steve and Bob King; son, Matthew King; daughter, Melissa Ruiz; grandson, Jaedyn King; and significant other, Shelly Bush.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Charles King.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Bible Fellowship Center, 2502 N. Liberty St., Independence.
Arrangements are through Bross Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
