Emily Barr
Emily A. Barr, 95, Kearney, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009. Ms. Barr was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Kearney, the daughter of Isaac and Cora Christensen Turnage. She was married to Sam Barr for 73 years. She was a member of the Kearney Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Beverly Barr. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Charlotte Barr, Kearney.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at the First Christian Church in Kearney, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20. Burial in Fairview Cemetery in Kearney. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund.
