Ernest S. Massey
Ernest S. “Bud” Massey, Commander USN (Ret.), 94, passed away on April 1, 2014 at his home.
Bud was born March 16, 1920. He grew up in Kansas City, Kans. He joined the Navy in 1942 and served as a carrier based fighter pilot on the U.S. Randolph.
He married Eileen “Connie” Connell in December of 1952. She preceded him in death in 2005.
Bud worked as a corp. pilot in the 1960’s and was a founding partner of HPSI.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Dana and DeAnna Massey; son, Kevin Massey; one granddaughter, Alexandria Massey.
Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
