Evelyn McCroskie
Evelyn Lois Clevenger McCroskie, 103, Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Friday, July 15, 2011. Ms. McCroskie was born Feb. 29, 1908, in Kansas City, the daughter of John and Daisy Cooper. She was a member of Messenger Pentecostal Churchin Richmond, and had also attended Flack Memorial Church in Excelsior Springs. She worked has a seamstress for the J.C. Penney Company in downtown Excelsior Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Clevenger and Ernest McCroskie; and a daughter, Barbara Johnson. Survivors include her son, Kenneth Clevenger, Kearney; her daughter, Norma McCubbin, Lawson; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 18, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
