Erik Eugene Rost
Erik Eugene Rost, 55, of Kearney Mo., passed away Friday, August 16, 2013.
Erik was born January 25, 1958 in Denver, Colo., to Odd Eugen and Norma (Sanford) Rost. Erik graduated in 1976 from Highland Park High School. He went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. After he completed his military service, Erik was employed as an aircraft mechanic.
Erik was preceded in death by his father, Odd Eugen Rost Jr., and one nephew, Zachary Ebeling.
Erik is survived by his wife, Mara Rost; daughter, Erika Rost; mother, Norma (Jim) Kanzig; four sisters, Kari (Terry) French, Katy (Tony) Daves, Lori Rost, and Nori Rost. Erik is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Erik will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Kearney, Mo. Friends may call from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Vets.
Arrangements are through Fry Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.
