Florence Elizabeth Bissell
Florence Bissell, 88, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away June 24, 2012. Florence was born July 14, 1923 in West Allis, Wisc., to William and Elizabeth Huebel Hatch. She was a member of St. Ann Parish in Excelsior Springs. Along with being a homemaker she worked as a nurse’s aide at the Ball and Midwest Clinic, later retiring from Wal-Mart as a Department Manager.
Florence is preceded by her parents, husband, Woodrow Calvin Bissell, children. Maryann and Richard, and four brothers, Jimmy, Donnie, Raymond, and Robert.
Survivors include her children, son and wife, Bob and Gail Bissell, daughter and husband, Robin and Larry Vosika, and daughter, Sue Bissell; sister, Clara Petrovich; brother and wife, Bill and Sally Hatch; sister-in-laws, Millie and Mitzie Hatch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty, Mo. Burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Rosary will be said at 12:45 p.m.
