Frances M. Slater
Frances M. Slater, 85, of Independence, Mo., passed away March 16, 2015.
Frances was born February 4, 1930 to Walter and Cynthia Helden. She worked at AT&T for 31 years as a telephone operator. Frances loved animals. She loved staying at home and taking care of her pets.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Conners; son, Douglas Barrett; sisters, Dorothy Cooper and Edith Linback; brother, Walter Helden; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo.
Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.
