Geraldine Smith
Geraldine M. Smith, 83, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away October 17,
2012. Geraldine was born May 29, 1929 to Jasper and Ann Crane in Volga
City, Iowa. She was a CNA for many years and could be found playing
Bingo on Friday nights at the Excelsior Springs VFW.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Merlin D.
Smith Sr.
Survivors include her children Merlin Smith Jr. and wife Carol, David
Smith and wife Diane, Coletta and husband Larry Happy, Claudia and
Charles Horn; brothers, Robert and wife Patricia Crane, and Edwin
Crane; sister, Claudia Clemons; seven grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012 at
Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Funeral services
are at 10 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at Pisgah Baptist Church with
burial following in Cravens Cemetery Camden, Mo.
