Gerri Wilson
Gerri Deane Bennett Wilson, 76, Raymore, Mo., entered into the gates of Heaven on Nov. 7, 2011.
She was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to Sox and Hazel Bennett. On Nov. 15, 1958, she married Richard Wilson. She enjoyed travel, fishing, spending time with friends and going out to restaurants. She and her husband fulfilled their wish and were able to retire in sunny Ft. Myers, Fla., and were able to spend five years there before moving back to Kansas City in 2009.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sox and Hazel Bennett.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard L. Wilson; son, Jeffrey and wife, Nancy Wilson; daughter, Dana Eubank; granddaughter, Alicia Eubank; great-grandsons, Blake, Corey and Ethan; and her sister, Leigh Ann Bennett Moore, along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, prior to the services. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
