George C. Wood
George C. Wood, 86, of Maricopa, Ariz., formerly of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away March 15, 2015.
George was born October 18, 1928 in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to Forrest Lee and Lillie May (Kerns) Wood. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He later married Gertrude Jobczyk. George was the owner and founder of George Wood Heating and Cooling. He was a member of National Rifle Association and VFW. George loved to hunt and fish. He and Gertrude also loved to travel in their motor home.
George is survived by his wife, Gertrude Wood; son Raymond and Susan Wood; grandchildren, Steven Wood and Amy Wood; and great-grandchild, Caitlyn.
George will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
