Helen Rimmer
Helen L. Rimmer, 87, Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009. Ms. Rimmer was born Nov. 1, 1922, the daughter of Willie Lee and Katie Murl Logan Schoolfield. She was a a graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. She was a machine operator at a plastics plant and a member of Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was married to Harold Rimmer on Dec. 20, 1953.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Rimmer, in 1967; and her brother, Jewell Schoolfield. Survivors include her sons, Everett Lee Rimmer, Craig Rimmer and DeWayne Rimmer; her brother-in-law, Junior Rimmer; her sister-in-law, Virginia Middleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec.7, at Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church in Excelsior Springs, with services at 2 p.m. Burial in Bethel Cemetery in Kearney. Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
