Ina Faye Briant
Ina Faye Briant, 85, Lawson, Mo., passed away October 20, 2014. Ina Faye was born May 23, 1929 to James Hiram and Opal Fern (Bailey) Hurt in Lawson, Mo. She married John Davis Briant on November 7, 1947.
Ina Faye worked as a secretary at Lawson Central Middle School for 25 years, she was a life member of Lawson United Methodist Church, a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and a 1946 graduate of Lawson High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, John Davis Briant.
Survivors include a son, John Michael (Lynne) Briant; daughters, Julia Faye (Toby) Dolt and Judith Ann Briant (Kent) Boehm; sister, Eunice (Tom) Smith; grandchildren, Curt (Deanna) Briant, Clint (Jessica) Briant, Emma (JD) Duncan, Bella Boehm, and John Thomas Dolt; great grandchildren, Sami (Alix) Frick, Chelsea, Nick, Zack, Halen, Cole, Josie, and Kyra Briant, Stella Faye and Silas John Duncan.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Lawson United Methodist Church with services following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lawson Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lawson UMC or DAV.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
