Ialeen Mae Duncan
Ialeen Duncan, 81, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away September 9, 2015.
Ialeen was born October 11, 1933 in Ulman, Mo., to Harland and Jewell Horton Phillips. She married Robert J. Duncan on March 13, 1966.
Ialeen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She liked making quilts, doing crafts and reading, she enjoyed watching hummingbirds and turtle doves in her yard. She also loved getting her hands in the dirt when working in her flower and vegetable garden.
Ialeen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Janet Mae Ahart; sister, Sylvia Vernon; and brothers, Victor “Max” James and Lonnie Phillips.
She is survived by daughters, Debra (Mike) Raulie of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Karen (Rick) Whitham of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; a son, Darrell (Sherry) Ahart of Jane, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and brothers, Harold Phillips of Carlisle, Iowa, and Walter (Beverly) Phillips of Des Moines, Iowa.
A memorial graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to Liberty Hospital Hospice or charity of choice.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
