Irene "Renee" F. Reynolds
Irene "Renee" F. (Annetts, Hamill) Reynolds, 90 years and 7 months, currently of Independence, Mo., and formerly of Michigan, passed away October 22, 2014.
Irene was born in Highland Park, Mich., on March 8, 1924, to Harold C. and Frances W. (Smith) Annetts. She graduated from Pershing High School in 1942. In September 1943, she married Calvin Hamill. In October 1944, Calvin was killed in action. They had no children. On August 3, 1946, she married Robert W. Reynolds. They were married 14 years. Robert passed away August 9, 1970. Irene later had a life union with John Moses of Michigan.
Irene had many interests. She raised poodles, enjoyed roller skating, stained glass, sewing, crafts, antiques, and traveling. During the 60's and 70's, she worked as a secretary. She attended the former RLDS and Restoration churches, both here and in Michigan. She was also a member of Gold Star Wives.
Irene will be loved, remembered, and greatly missed by those who survive her, son and daughter-in-law, James E. (Jim) and Lori Beth Reynolds of Independence, Mo.; sisters, Doris Hott of Central Lake, Mich., Grace Temple of Croswell, Mich., Ada F. Farkas of Hollywood, Fla., and Janet Krause of Live Oak, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family of Irene wish to thank the staff of Blue Hills Rest Home of Independence and Northcare Hospice of NKC for their kindness, care, and concern during her final journey in life. The loving support of family and friends is greatly appreciated.
A Memorial will be held at a later date. Burial will follow at springtime service at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, Mich.
