James Bach

James Bach, 75, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on October 10, 2013.

A passionate Christian and family man, and known for his humor, and loyal friendships. He was a talented carpenter and gifted craftsman that he learned from his father. He enjoyed travel, yard work, cooking, especially smoking, and watching Royals and MIZZOU. He loved golfing and fishing trips with Brother Knights. He's a proud Ford retiree of 32 years.

Jim gave selflessly of his time and talents to family and friends, and will be remembered by his gifts of kindness and compassion. He lived each day as an example of hard work, integrity, and simply treating people with respect. He was an active member of St. Michael's Council, 8915, Past Grand Knight, and a visionary in bringing the Knights of Columbus Hall to Kearney, Mo.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Helen Bach of Des Moines, Iowa, and brothers, Vincent, John, and LeRoy.

Jim's beloved wife of 53 years, Kathryn, is surrounded by their legacy, four daughters, Teal Overcash (Kevin), Toye Palazola (Dr Joseph Palazola), Traycee Golden (Chris) and Tasha Bach (fiancé Steven Karst); grandchildren, Autumn VanBebber (Jaime Kowalski), Jayme Feaster (Josh), Dakota VanBebber, and Brandon, LLiam and Trapper Golden; great grandchildren, Austin and Brock Feaster, and Adysen Kowalski; and beloved pet, Babe.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013, with Rosary at 7 p.m. Catholic Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Visitation and service will be held at Church of the Annunciation, Kearney, Mo.
