John Walker "J.W." Branson
John Walker "J.W." Branson of Lawson, Mo., passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 at Liberty, Hospital.
He was born February 4, 1939 in Lexington, Mo., to Clarance Richard Branson and Anna Celeste Woodruff. On May 8, 1960 he married Doris Stalans in Chiefland, Fla. He was a machinest making manhole covers for 15 years before becoming a farmer.
J.W. was preceded in death by his wife, Doris of 54 years, on November 18, 2014, his parents, a brother and a sister.
Survivors include daughter, Brenda Kunze and Roger of Excelsior Springs; sons, John Wilber Branson and Alice, and Earl Branson, all of Lawson, and Raymon Branson and Tanya of Richmond; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sister, Meredith Curry of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Rayville Christian Union Church, Rayville, Mo.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
