Joy Nicole Briant
Joy Nicole Briant, 29, Lawson, Mo., passed away February 23, 2013 at
St. Luke's Hospital, after a lifelong battle with FSGS kidney disease.
Joy was born January 12, 1984 to David Wayne and Winnie (Nolker)
Briant. She was a lifelong resident of Lawson, Mo., graduating with the
class of 2002. After high school Joy attended Maple Woods studying
nursing. She had recently been employed by Liberty Hy-Vee as a
deli-clerk. She was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church.
Joy was a perfect name as she brought “Joy” to the lives of everyone
she touched. She was a sweet, beautiful, kind and courageous person.
She fought a hard battle, never loosing faith. She was loved by many
and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donnie Nolker and
Dorothy Nolker.
She is survived by her parents of the home, grandparents, Wayne and
Lucille Briant, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She also
leaves her beloved dog, Emerson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the
Lawson United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday,
March 1, 2013, also at the church, with burial following at Old Union
Cemetery, Lawson, Mo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial
contributions to The Dream Factory. Please wear pink in Joy’s honor.
