James Dooley
James Lewis Dooley, 73, Niland, Calif., formerly of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away March 24, 2013.
James was born October 19, 1939 to Donald and Florence Farris Dooley in Carrollton, Mo. He married Donna Johnson on September 10, 1956. James worked for Ford Motor Company and was a member of the Excelsior Springs United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Donna Johnson Dooley on July 3, 2001, and four brothers.
Survivors include his three daughters, Angela (Robert) Childers of Excelsior Springs, Paula (Kevin) Norstuen of Kansas City, Mo., and Lori (Todd) Slagle of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Cori Altis, Jim Childers, Hannah Deer, Bethany Juergens, Maddie Slagle, and Logan Norstuen; great-grandchildren, Dane Corum, Brooklin Altis, and Rexton Childers; and longtime friend Renee Cechvala.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo., with services beginning at 7 p.m. Private family burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Brooklin’s Fund, 17504 State Route 33, Holt, MO 64048.
