Jacqueline Fay King Short
Jackie Short, 79, Excelsior Springs, Mo., went home to the Lord August 24, 2015.
Jackie was born February 27, 1936 to Lawrence and Vera Haynes King in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She was a graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. On March 7, 1953 she married Jerry Short. Jackie and Jerry owned Kings Restaurant and Kings Service Station. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and playing bridge. She immensely loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and aunt, Shirley Wise.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Juree Short; son, Jeffrey (Kathia) Short; daughter, Janelle (Andy) Martinovich; grandchildren, Jamie Short, Rachel Short, Nick Mack, Audreauna Short, Savanah Martinovich, Malina Martinovich, Remy Martinovich, Kasey Hunt-Short; and a great granddaughter, Lynnaea Harbour.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015, with service immediately following, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Burial at Lawson Cemetery, Lawson, Mo.
