Juanita Wood
Juanita M. Wood, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010. Ms. Wood was born Aug. 16, 1921. She received her master's in education from UMKC and taught in the Independence school system, retiring in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ella Wood; and one brother, John A. Wood. Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Burns, Dunedin, Fla., and Vernice Bills, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
