Karlene Dunaway
Karlene Dunaway, 77, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
Karlene was born November 30, 1937 in Lamar, Mo., to Carl and Allene (Clements) Bartlett. On June 3, 1956, she married Ronald Dunaway in Lamar, Mo.
Karlene worked for many years as an administrative assistant at a software manufacturer. Karlene loved to color, and crochet afghans. She also loved her dogs, Peeko, Mia, and Delta, and anything involving her grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ronald Dunaway; daughter, Rhonda and Greg Parrett; son, Bradley Dunaway; grandchildren, Carrie and Mike Ryun, Krisstyn Dunaway, Chris Parrett, Samantha and Clint Griffin, and Lauren Dunaway; great grandchildren, Cole, Emme, Carter, Samuel, Bradley, Paightyn, and Andy; sister, Karen and Millard Cundiff; and niece, Jessica.
Karlene will be loved and missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, Mo.
