Kenneth Wayne Holt

Kenneth Wayne Holt was born on January 7, 1941 to Elizabeth and Nathan Holt in Walcot, Kans. Ken was one of 12 children.
He graduated from Platte City High School. Ken served in the United States Air Force from September 22, 1961 until he was honorably discharged on September 21, 1965. Ken worked for Certainteed Products as a mechanical maintenance technician until the plant closed in 1981. He then worked from Variform Plastics in Kearney until he retired.
Ken served as a volunteer with the Kearney Fire Dept. for many years. His true passion was the outdoors. He loved the early spring, no mushroom could hide from this avid hunter.
Ken is preceded in death by his mother and father, several siblings and his granddaughter, Sophia Marie Hilario.
Ken is survived by his children’s mother, Dottie Carron Tracey; his companion, Francis Dixon; three children, Mary Beth and husband, Juan Hilario of Clinton, Mo., Rachel Ann and husband, David Nicholas of Kansas City, Jimmy Wayne and wife, Rhonda Holt of Kearney, Mo.; six grandchildren, Haylie Nicole Hilario, Christian Alexander Hilario, Caleb Joseph Hilario, Ashley Dawn Lipe, Dakota Lee Dalton and Gannon Ray Stephenson; and one great granddaughter, Aleah Marie Weaver.
Dad will be missed, but his knowledge of the outdoors he passed to his children will be continually handed down.
Ken has donated his body to the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
