Kenneth Dale Kent
Kenneth Dale Kent, 82, Plattsburg, Mo., passed away November 7, 2013 at Liberty Hospital.
Kenneth was born October 14, 1931 to John B. & Matilda (Piper) Kent in Green City, Mo. He was an Army and Air Force Veteran. He drove a truck for Mid Continent and All American Truck Lines, retiring in 1989. He had also worked for Allis Chambers and Crammer Chair Company.
From 1960-1964 he received his schooling while a member of Maple Park Bible Church, becoming an Ordained Minister in 1964 at Hickory Baptist Church in Platte City, Mo. Reverend Jimmy Anderson was the officiate of his Ordination and will also be officiating his funeral service. Kenneth served in seven churches. He enjoyed music especially playing the guitar and harmonica. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by many.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ira Lewis Kent.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie; their three children, Kathy (Harry) Troncin, Kenneth (Debbie) Kent, and Larry Kent; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Donald and Clyde Kent; and one sister, Katherine Black.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 126 Vaughn St. Excelsior Springs, Mo., with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Plattsburg, Mo.
