Lodell Bolte Bremer
Lodell Bolte Bremer, 90, of Kearney, Mo., passed away peacefully August 13, 2016 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo.
Lodell was born September 5, 1925 to Tina M. and Oliver G. Bolte of Smithton, Mo.
Lodell attended Central Methodist College in Fayette and Central Missouri College in Warrensburg where she was a member of the Dolphin Swim Team in 1945.
Lodell was homemaker, loved music, wildlife and the outdoors. She was a skiing enthusiast. She was a Christian and loved her family dearly. In her later years, Lodell greatly cherished the scenic view and bird feeding from the deck of her country home. She closed each day with a phone call to her sister, the highlight of the day for each of them.
Lodell is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gene of the home; son, Gene Steven, also of the home; sister, Jean Amelia Castle of Denver, Colo.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lodell was preceded in death by her loving sons, Jon D. and Karl D. Bremer, and her brother, Charles Reginald Bolte.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Community Covenant Church, Kearney, Mo. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be in Smithton Cemetery, Smithton, Mo., at 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Covenant Church of Kearney, or SAFE, C/O Smithton High School, 505 S. Myrtle, Smithton, MO, 65350.
