Lonnie "Toby" Carpenter
Lonnie B. “Toby” Carpenter, 81, Gladstone, Mo., passed away April 17, 2013.
Toby worked as a lineman for KCPL for many years. He had also served as president for the IBEW. He was very active in golf, boxing and stock car racing. He enjoyed helping children and coached youth football and baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Carpenter; children, Dana (Harlin) Clements, Ron Carpenter, Kristy (Frank) Mesh, and Rebecca (Philip) Goff; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Cremation.
