Lawrence F. Holder
Lawrence F. Holder, 84, passed peacefully away at home on March 2, 2014 in Kearney, Mo. Lawrence was born on November 12, 1929 in Hamilton, Mo., to Lloyd and Helen Holder.
He worked for Armco Steel for 41 years as a pattern maker. He was a member of the Delaware Masonic Lodge, KCK & High Prairie Church Leavenworth, Kans. Lawrence served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leo Holder, a brother-in-law John Folk, and a son-in-law, Stan Gregg.
He is survived by four children, Star Huffman (Bruce) of Tehachapi, Calif., Larry Holder (Julie) of Kearney, Mo., Tammy Slankard (Jim) of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Crystal Gregg of Leavenworth, Kans.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Folk of Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at High Prairie Church, 26480 187th St., Leavenworth, Kans., 913-727-1576.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Gentiva Hospice.
