Lou Ann Jamison

Lou Ann Jamison, 84, died July 21, 2016 at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, Mo.

She was born July 1, 1932 to Luther and Anna May Vassmer in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She married Paul Jamison on April 4, 1959. They were married almost 57 years. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2016.

She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital to farm full time with her husband. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother Bill Vassmer, and a great set of in-laws Martha Vassmer, Tom Jamison and Ethyl Jamison. 

She is survived by her sons, Paul (Barbara) Jamison and William Jamison. She leaves behind a niece and several nephews, Mike (Cheryl) Vassmer, Patricia (Freddie) Vanderpool, Thomas Jamison, and Robert (Shelle) Vassmer. She also had three grandsons, M. Brent (Katelyn) Jamison, Jason Jamison, and Jesse Jamison. She also leaves behind her best friend and cousin Barbara Blubaugh, her precious cat Tom, her Woods Memorial Church family, her farming community family, and her McDonald’s family, who all so enriched a life she loved.

Visitation is from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at Woods Memorial Christian Church, 417 Concourse Avenue, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. Services to immediately follow at the church.

Family suggests donations to Woods Memorial Christian Church in lieu of flowers.
