Lenore Kelly
Lenore Kelly of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Friday morning, October 23, 2015 at Northcare Hospice House, North Kansas City, Mo.
Lenore was born September 20, 1935. She spent most of her life in and around Shelbina, Mo., attending Lentner School in her early years, and graduating from Shelbina High School in 1953. She built her life around music, accounting, and raising a family. She took immense pride in everything she did. In 1992 Lenore relocated to the Phoenix area and continued her career in accounting, until retirement in 2006. Shortly thereafter, she relocated to the Kansas City area to be closer to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Martha Tartar (Shelbina, Mo.), and one brother, Vertis Tartar (Irving, Texas).
She is survived by one sister, LaVonne Steward of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Yoshi Tartar of Irving, Texas; four children, Vicki and Gary Huff of Fort Mohave, Ariz., Greg Kelly of Clayton, N.C., Kevin Kelly of Liberty, Mo., and Janet and Rick Lawson of Cumberland, Md.; along with nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In honoring her request, a small private memorial will be attended by the immediate family at a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lenore’s name to: New Mark Care Center, 11221 N. Nashua Drive, Kansas City, Mo. 64155, or to the charity of choice.
Arrangements are being handled by Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, Mo.
