Larry "Pete" W. McComas
Larry "Pete" W. McComas, 73, of Lawson, Mo., passed away July 24, 2014 at his home.
Larry was born August 17, 1940 to Bud McComas and Mable (Lampton) McComas Bales in Hardin, Mo. Pete worked in construction. He loved fishing, gardening, taking long drives, and most of all spending time with his family.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Timothy and George McComas, and his first wife, Virginia.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home; daughters, Britany Carpenter, Marie Hilton, and Mary Dugger; son, Larry McComas Jr.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings, Buddy Dean McComas, Sherry Henke, Wanda Mason, Allen Clay Bales Jr., Sharon Hammond, Hazel Day, Kenneth Bales Jr., Hazel Essig, and Roberta Edeki; and many nieces and nephews.
Pete will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cremation. Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Community of Christ Church in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
