Lillian Middleton
Lillian R. Middleton, 79, of Kearney, Mo., passed away March 10, 2013. Lillian was born October 16, 1933 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of John R.A. and Edna L. (Cooper) Taylor. She graduated from William Chrisman High School 1951 then attended Central Missouri State University where she received her teaching certificate. She had a brief teaching career before raising her six children. She was a member of Arley United Methodist Church and Arley Methodist Women’s Club.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 57 years, Richard “Dick” Middleton.
She is survived by her daughter, Lore (Terry) Barnes; son, Richard (Billie) Middleton; son, Mike (Sharon) Middleton; son, John (Mary) Middleton; son, Tom (Shelia) Middleton; and daughter, Ruth (Lee) McCann; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Arley United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, Mo. Burial will be in Arley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Arley United Methodist Church.
