Loren Ray Shelton
Ray Shelton, 78, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away October 25, 2016.
Ray was born November 22, 1937 to Leo C. and Thelma (Duncan) Shelton. He married Shirley Callaway on November 24, 1963. Ray worked as a truck driver and had owned a landscaping company while raising his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family; always willing to lend a helping hand. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandkids at sporting events. He also spent time working on his Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Shelton; son, Larry D. Zirjacks; granddaughter, Serena Bedsole; and son-in-law, David Wegener.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Jerry (Lisa) Shelton, Ronnie (Yvonne) Shelton, and Randy (Nora) Shelton; daughter, Lisa (Kurt) Oidtman; brother, Leo Shelton; sister, Melva Lewis; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016, with service immediately following at Flack Memorial Church, burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Shriners Hospital.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
