Loren L. Smart
Loren L. Smart, 72, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away August 27, 2013. Loren was born September 12, 1940 to Dayton and Edna (Grogg) Smart in Auburn, Ind. On September 17, 1961 he married Janet Munkirs. Loren worked as a lineman and supervisor for KCP&L and Utilimap. He enjoyed playing golf, and all things sports.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of the home; daughter, Kelly and husband, Charles Paden; son, Kurt and wife, Gail Smart; sister, Shirley Miller; grandchildren, Eric Paden, Charlsey Paden, Sage Smart, and Josie Smart; and great grandchildren, Zia Paden and Braden Baugher.
A memorial service will be held 5:30 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs with visitation from 4 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Excelsior Springs Educational Foundation.
