Linda Louise Phillips Stephenson
Linda Louise Phillips Stephenson of Kearney, Mo., passed away Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2014 at North Kansas City Hospice House due to a lengthy illness.
Linda was born September 22, 1947 in Westville, Mo., the daughter of Homer and Hallie Phillips. She married Curtis Stephenson on August 28, 1965.
She is survived by her husband and their two children, son, Kurt and April Stephenson, and daughter, Rhonda and Jim Holt; four grandchildren, Derek and wife, Lizzie Stephenson of Topeka, Tiffany Stephenson of Kearney, Sarah Stephenson of Liberty, and Gannon Stephenson of Kearney; two brothers, Jerry and Patty Phillips of Marceline, Mo., and Roger Phillips of Brookfield, Mo.; three sisters, Mary and Dick Kramer of Burlington, Iowa, Janet and Jack Hodgson of Independence, Mo., and Norma and Terry Niemeier of Liberty, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded by her mother and father and three brothers, Homer (Bud) Laverne, Orland Ray, and Donald Wayne Phillips.
Linda was a long time member of Northern Hills Baptist Church. She retired from Taystee Bakery and Small Wonders Daycare. Linda was devoted to Christ and her family. She loved country music and the simple pleasures of life.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Northern Hills Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the church
Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.
