Martin "Marty" Barman
Martin "Marty" Barman, 58, of Kearney, Mo., passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014.
Marty was born March 20, 1956 to Donald and Patricia Nichols Barman in Detroit, Mich. On September 26, 1980 he married Kelly Rodgers. He worked as an auto worker for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 years in 2008. He was a proud member of UAW #249. Marty was known as a man who loved to work on cars. He also loved NASCAR, The Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers.
Marty was preceded in death by his father, Donald William Barman.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Kelly, daughter, Shannon Barman, son, John (Rebecca) Barman, sister, Anne (Ted) Marolla, and granddaughter, Harper.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Kearney, Mo.
Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.
