Margaret "Marge" M. Brosko
Margaret "Marge" M. Brosko, 92, passed away August 9, 2016 at Valley Manor Care Center in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Margaret was of Catholic faith. Margaret was born in Kansas City, Mo., on February 14, 1924 to David and Mary Deweerdt. She graduated from St. Francis and St. Agnes Academies.
After graduation she owned and operated “Tiny Tot” Dance Studio. She moved to Excelsior Springs after her father passed away to be close to her Mother. She was employed by Sheraton Elms as Executive Housekeeper for 17 years. After the Elms closing, she worked as manager of Cherokee Village in Liberty, Mo., retiring there also after 17 years. Margaret was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post VFW 4043 in Liberty, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gus Deweerdt.
She is survived by daughter, Marianna K. Owens of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; son, Donald N. Carter of Marshfield, Mo.; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Margaret was a kind and thoughtful person, and will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Margaret was an avid dog lover and her family requests memorial contributions to be made to “KC Pet Project”.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo., with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery Memorial Gardens in Gladstone, Mo.
