Mary "Jeannie" Humbard
Jeannie Humbard, 89, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away June 2, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
Jeannie was born May 9, 1923 to Adon Joseph and Bertha Lee Humbard. She spent her life in Excelsior Springs working as a medical secretary for McCleary’s and ERC before retiring from Russell Stover’s.
She is survived by one sister and brother -in-law, Wanda and Charles Peterson; nieces and nephews, Laura (Charles) Zimmerman, Bob (Martha) Humbard, Brenda (Mike) Pierce, Jana (Dave) Hruby, Bryan Peterson, and Nancy Strain; along with several great, great-great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great nephew.
Visitation will be from 11:30 to 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Graveside services following at New Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.
