Orvella (Myrt) Murphy
Orvella (Myrt) J. Murphy, 77, of Kearney, Mo., passed away December 22, 2011 at Liberty Hospital.
Myrt was born on January 6, 1934 in Sinclair County, Mo. On February 11, 1961, she was united in marriage to James (Buck) Murphy, who preceded her in death.
Myrt is survived by her three sons, Jerry Maxwell and wife, Carla, of Kearney, Mo., Jeff Murphy and wife, Carrie, of Mary Esther, Fla., and Stacey Murphy and wife, Teresa, of Liberty, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Jason and Justin Maxwell, Kylee Estes, Tyler and Corey Murphy, Jessica Miller, Jaxon and Aaron Murphy; three sisters, Betty Hopkins of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Loretta Bough, Tulsa, Okla., Beverly Boyd, Rich Hill, Mo.; and one brother, Marvin Vittetoe of Papinsville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parent, one brother and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Rainbow Center for Special Needs, 900 NW Woods Chapel Rd., Blue Springs, MO 64015.
