Martha Unavee O'Dell
Martha Unavee O’Dell, age 90, formerly of Excelsior Springs, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on February 13, 1926, in Del Rio, Cocke County, Tenn., to Henry C. Brown and Bertha Shelton Brown. She married Emery A. O’Dell of Excelsior Springs on March 3, 1945, in Newport, Tenn.
Unavee is survived by a son, Richard Allen O’Dell and his wife, Evelyn, of Liberty, Mo.; a daughter, Euvena Faye Carter and her husband, Mike, of Mexico, Mo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Unavee was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Enoch Brown and Oscar Brown; her husband, Emery A. O’Dell; a daughter, Martha Kaye O’Dell Moulder; and a great grandson, Gabriel Borchardt.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, Mo., with graveside services following at 12:15 p.m. at the Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Baldwin, Michael Carter, Andrew O'Dell, and Beau Tolhurst.
