Marvin Hale Pigg
Marvin Hale Pigg, 86, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
Marvin was born January 14, 1930, in Orrick, Mo., to Boyd and Vina Pigg. Marvin was an Army Veteran and worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years prior to retiring in 1979. Upon retiring, he farmed full-time in Orrick, Mo.
Survivors include his son, Chris Pigg of Excelsior Springs, his daughter, Carol (Rex) Baxter of Excelsior Springs, and one granddaughter, Lyndsey Baxter of Excelsior Springs.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Perry) Pigg, his granddaughter, Brooke Nicole Baxter, brother, Ed Pigg, and sister, Jenny Gregg.
Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, Mo., on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Although there will be no formal visitation friends and family are welcome to pay their respects to Dad from 12 to 5 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brooke Baxter Memorial, c/o Bank Midwest, 134 Crown Hill Road, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
