Mary Ellen Sloan
Mary Ellen Sloan, 77, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away February 28, 2014.
Mary was born November 12, 1936 in Kansas City, Kans., to Francis and Dorothy Jennings. Mary was a homemaker. She loved her cat and doing crossword puzzles.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Vernon, Michael, and Danny; and brother, Robert.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Tharp; son, Eddie (Jamie) Coffman Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua and Amelia Coffman, William Lashley, and Sarah Hill; great grandchild, Ariel Lashley; sisters, Doris, Betty and Peggy; and brothers, Raymond, Charles and Edward.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kans.
