Maxine Jewelle Stephan
Maxine Jewelle Stephan, 91, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Monday, April 13, 2015.
Maxine was born November 26, 1923 in Neodesha, Kans., to Jim ad Mary (Gamble) Stewart. Maxine was an active member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior Springs, Mo., and was co-owner of City Electronic Communication. She was also very active in the Republican Party. Most importantly was her role in the lives of her family. She was teacher, tour guide, birthday party planner, and in general involved in making life and events very special.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Stephan.
Survivors include daughter, Marilyn J. Dubin; sons, Gregory K. and Cheryle Stephan, and Jeffery S. and Leannette Stephan; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Maxine played an important part in her church, community, and family. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
