Mary Jane Tennyson
Mary Jane Tennyson, 81, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away February 16, 2014.
Mary was born May 14, 1932, the youngest of seven children, to Frank and Hattie McDowell in Richmond, Mo. She was united in marriage to Harold Tennyson on September 8, 1950. Harold passed away in October 2001. They moved to Excelsior Springs in June 1961 and she retired from Southwestern Bell after 30 years of service. Mary enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook and loving wife and mother.
She is survived by three children, son, Harold (Tweet) Tennyson and wife, Sandy, and daughters, Luvicie (Vicie) Bennett and husband, Fred, and Karen Clark and husband, Bill; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Pepper.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Febrary 20, 2014, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
