Martha Faye Thompson
Martha Faye Thompson, 75, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away June 17, 2014. Martha was born January 7, 1939 to Byron and Mabel Scott and grew up in Orrick, Mo.
She was a member of Rock Falls Baptist Church. Martha proudly owned and operated her own daycare for 40 years and 8 months. She loved children, gardening, word games, and bird watching.
She is preceded by her parents and husband, Frank.
Survivors include a daughter and husband, Nancy Walters and Dennis; son, Rodney Thompson; daughter and husband, Debbie Spear and Gary; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Rock Falls Baptist Church. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
